The Rifugio Pio XI, located in the Ötztal Alps, is an alpine refuge for hikers and mountaineers. It is located near the Austrian border, in the Palla Bianca subgroup, or Weißkugelhütte. It is open during the summer season, and it is possible to stop for a meal or to spend the night.
