Towards the end, the red Lion Trail leads you south and above Hachenburg, from where you have a sweeping view of the Westerwald. Hachenburg Castle sits enthroned in the middle. It's a magnificent view.

The historic castle is very impressive. Unfortunately, you can usually only visit it from the outside. The beautiful castle park with its imposing redwoods is usually closed off. The castle gate is rarely open to visitors during events and markets. Then it is particularly worthwhile to stop by there.

The Panoramaweg Rund um Daaden was more than worth it. The historic old town is worth seeing, Friedewald Castle is beautiful and takes you back in time, you would like to see how people lived there a long time ago.... simply magical.... Beautiful paths and fantastic views... I can only recommend 😀👍🥾
