It should be mentioned here that the manor house and its outbuildings represent a place of their own; namely "Volperhausen Castle". This term means the place. Volperhausen Castle was first mentioned in 1462, the Oberbergisches Land Tourist Association speaks on its website of the beginning of the 16th century.
