The Werbeliner See nature reserve is a beautiful destination. Here you can relax, unwind, and enjoy some wonderful nature observation. !BUT BE CAREFUL - THE LAKE IS NOT A SWIMMING LAKE! To protect the biodiversity that has developed here, leaving the paths and therefore swimming is prohibited in the 1,500-hectare reserve. The nearby Schladitzer See is a good alternative for anyone looking for a place for water-based recreational activities. The area is one of the largest and most important nature reserves in Saxony. Special species such as wolves, sea eagles, otters, beavers, and, above all, a nationally outstanding bird population have settled here. A well-developed cycle path leads around Lake Werbelin and invites you to take a relaxing tour.

In contrast to the "SchlaBu" here very natural and close to nature. You get a very nice impression of the vastness of the former Deltzsch Südwest opencast mine, the "Schutten", which the depositors left behind, and you can observe the rich flora and fauna undisturbed. An experience in the morning and evening hours.
