I liked the restaurant a few meters before the fairytale forest the best. It's so beautifully quiet and beautiful. I've been there several times. The first time, unfortunately, was for a sad reason. A good friend of my wife and me is buried there in the Ruhewald. We had known each other for almost 50 years.

The fairy tale trail consists of 15 stations where a story is told by panels. The special: At almost every station there is a hand-sawn work of art or something to balance or similar. The figures are sometimes a bit older and still nice to look at.

The heather is not only fascinating in August, when it is in bloom, but in every season of the year. In autumn it shows itself again from a very special side, when the leaves of the trees turn into beautiful yellow, orange and red tones. Mixed with the evergreen conifers, this is pure eye candy.
