A very beautiful valley, even though I had imagined something more dramatic when I heard the name Hell's Gorge.

I had imagined something more dramatic in the name, but the Höllental is beautiful.

In summer temperatures, it is hard to imagine that this fascinating landscape was created during the Ice Age. When the glacier ice melted, the meltwater created the Höllenschlucht (Hell's Gorge). A narrow valley with steep, but only a few meters high, side walls that the trees cling to. In contrast to the neighboring Höllenberg, it is absolutely worth seeing.

A very beautiful path through the gorge. You can definitely walk it even when it's raining.

The second stage of the Heidschnuckenweg also runs along here, which I can highly recommend for a day hike. All information about the Heidschnuckenweg can be found under the following link: www.heidschnuckenweg.de/etappen (as of June 23, 2024).

The 3rd stage of the long-distance hiking trail "Wilde 13" also runs along here. The "Wilde 13" is not signposted or marked, but can only be hiked using a GPX file at the following link: dav-hamburg.de/dav/Wilde13 (as of April 2024).

Had concerns, but was able to run well even after a long period of bad weather
