Quiet, chilled out place, ideal for a short rest.

I'm there several times a week and can always look forward to this beautiful hiking, riding and cycling area. Meadows, fields, the moor and the forest alternate, there is something for everyone depending on their mood. Just great.

my tip: circumnavigate the island clockwise, then you only have to walk down the Jägersteig. I found it better for me and was very happy with it. I really liked the Jägersteig, from the top a great view of the sea and beach and from below the steps look great as they pull up the rocks.

From the stairs you have a wonderful view of the sea.

Gannets are exceptionally good fliers and divers. They also attract attention because of their size and coloration. In Germany they only breed on Heligoland and have been since 1991. These pretty seabirds can be observed there every year in their breeding colonies.
