Pleasant trails through the marsh. There are several ferry crossings along the way, making for a lovely stroll. The visitor center is open from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The loops (boot trail + boardwalk) total 3.8 km.

Impressive buildings in the middle of the forest. I completely lost track of time here. Certainly a highlight, especially with children. Currently, some construction work is taking place on the site, so some paths may have to be temporarily bypassed (as of September 2025).

This pinetum - also known as a conifer garden - was planted during WWII. The garden consists mainly of conifers and is laid out on the IJsselvliedt estate.

The Waterloopbos in the Netherlands is an impressive forest area known for its historical importance as a model test site for hydraulic engineering. Today, nature has taken over here and Waterloopbos is now a national monument managed by Natuurmonumenten. A visit to the visitor center with a nice café is also worthwhile.
