Nice steep descent and climb. The Leemcule is also popular as a children's playground. Mountain bikers can go wild in the adjacent MTB cross track (freely accessible). The water of the Leemcule is quite dirty. No suitable drinking water for the dog. You can do that better at one of the many streams in Landgoed Molecaten.

The Vilsteren weir was built after the length of the Overijsselse Vecht was reduced from 90 to 60 kilometers at the end of the 19th century. The weirs served to prevent high areas from drying out and low areas from flooding. Next to the dam is a fish ladder that provides a spectacle during the spawning period: spawning fish can bridge a height difference of 1.5 meters thanks to the fish ladder.

At Windesheim, over the years, the presence of a brick factory has created tile holes (tichel = brick) within the dike. After the factory ceased its activities in the 1980s, the brick holes automatically turned into pools with plenty of aquatic life. There are also two bird hides in this area. Sometimes there are very beautiful guests: kingfishers, a sea eagle, special birds on passage.
