It's a small but valuable reserve consisting of calcareous grasslands, scrub, and former quarry and slope areas. Thanks to the calcareous soil, rare plants such as orchids and thyme thrive here, and butterflies and insects abound. It's a quiet, sunny spot where nature has slowly reclaimed the old quarry slopes.

The Devil's Bridge is really beautiful, built from many stones that are neatly placed next to each other. It is located along the Chemin du Bois, which runs from Monté de Chaudfontaine to Ninane. There is also a bench where you can rest for a while.

Its calamine-rich formation dates back to the time when the steelworks in the valleys of the Vesdre and the Ourthe released heavy metal fumes (zinc and lead) into the atmosphere, which were carried by the prevailing winds to the surrounding hills. This pollution resulted in impressive landscapes and a unique biotope. The large grassy areas are interspersed with gnarled oaks and a few birches, giving them a particularly remarkable "savannah" appearance. Located in the municipality of Chaudfontaine (Ninane), directly opposite the "La Rochette" nature reserve, this vast calamine-rich heathland offers an exceptional landscape. It is classified as a site of great biological interest (SGIB) and is part of the Natura 2000 network.

Built of dry stone on the foundations of slate cliffs, it probably dates, according to tradition, to the construction of the railway in 1830 or during the development of the first hiking trails. The bridge is associated with a legend involving farmers from the hamlet of Ninane and the other surrounding hamlets who made a pact with the devil. Source: Signpost

Heyoule, also called after its founder, Charles Tihon, is a nature reserve east of Eben. The area covers more than 3.8 hectares and is managed by Natagora. It is the first nature reserve that was established on the Belgian part of the Sint-Pietersberg in 1973. There are several former flint quarries and calcareous grasslands are also found there. These are home to rare plant species, including bee orchid and green night orchid. Southern insect species, including solitary bee species, are also found there. Bats live in the former quarries. Furthermore, badger and natterjack toad can be mentioned.
