Easy, fast, pleasant trail

In the meantime, both sides have been "rehabilitated" - is that good or bad - it depends. To exaggerate a bit, I would say: 100% suitable for trekking bikes until Mother Nature starts to tighten the paths again.

The Schlegeisspreicher path to the Pfitscherjoch has been expanded for three months in 2022. Gravel transport partly by helicopter. The path is now better passable except for the Lavitzalm section. Partly slab path that is not easy to manage, as well as the longer, steep sliding sections. Great - but very difficult tour!

The descent with luggage is very demanding, I personally pushed for about 40 minutes, enjoyed the landscape and arrived healthy at the parking lot. I hope I can ride it without luggage

Tricky trail to complete fully on a bike either way due to the bumpy rocks on the way and definitely has to be walked on many section on a gravel bike or with a bikepacking setup. There are little streams to cross and the views all around are impressive.

The first part from the Brenner to the Schlüsseljoch was easy. Arrived at the end of the road, we continued on a narrow hiking trail, 2.5km pushing to the Enzianhütte was the order of the day. The climb to the key yoke was tough. The path is very steep and covered with many large stones. Long distances were pushed. The descent was only possible to a limited extent at the beginning, later it was possible to descend rapidly. Overnight stay in St. Jakop in the Unterberghof was good and is recommended. Very friendly boss Mareike, who also made something to eat late.

A nice cart path. Coarse gravel makes it a little more demanding.

The trail is steeper but good and easy to drive. It's a wide cart path with coarser stones. The view is terrific!
