Beautiful pond in the middle of the forest area

The middle section of the current house dates from 1662. In the 19th and early 20th century it was expanded with a total of four towers. The house is the core of an intact country estate with two farm buildings, a large park, a workshop, a vegetable garden and an orangery. The character of the Nijenhuis estate is park-like: romantic walking paths along the winding Molenbeek, monumental groups of trees and picturesque vistas define the image. Nijenhuis Castle used to be a manor, a fortified castle. Het Nijenhuis was first mentioned around 1380. The different parts of the impressive structure date from different times. For example, the country house, which forms the core of the castle, dates from 1662, the towers at the front from 1791-1794 and the wings at the rear from 1914-1915.

Stelkampsveld is part of the Beekvliet estate. The most beautiful plot contains a gradient from dry heathland, wet heathland, sparse heather grassland, base-loving blue grassland to fen vegetation.

If you look closely you can also see the grebe in the pond.
