A beautiful path between the mudflats and the waters of the Rantum Basin. A paradise for people and animals.

Very nice stretch of road. However, the applied gravel is unsightly, you have to be a little careful.

The Rantum basin is a nature reserve in the middle of the island of Sylt, south of the towns of Westerland and Tinnum. It is named after the place Rantum. This protected area is looked after by the Jordsand association.

On one side the open sea on the other the bird sanctuary with lake.

The Rantum basin is always worth a tour :)

NSG before Rantum, a bike path developed as a gravel path runs between the Rantumer basin and the Rantumer Watt on a narrow dike. Is good and passable without special skills. Great view of the Watt, the Ratumer salt marshes, basin landscape.

Whether by bike or on foot - a very worthwhile round.

Nice round around the Rantum basin. However, we had the misfortune that part of the path was rehabilitated and we had to bypass this piece via a street. Diversion recommendation nil. It's good that there are satnavs.
