Indeed a beautiful view of the Schlei, but we had to move on quickly as there were a lot of cars driving along the Gottorfer Damm.

Beautiful sculpture at the Cape of Freedom in Schleswig. There are many places to sit on the promenade with a view of the Schlei. The Statue of Liberty is a work of art and declared a sea mark. Maybe not a highlight, but a good tip. You walk along the coast almost exclusively through beautiful nature, but there are not that many bathing opportunities along the shore. So it's definitely worth a stop here :)

When looking over the Schlei, the St. Petri Cathedral of Schleswig can always be seen. Beautiful bike and hiking trails along the Schlei.
