The Broichhausen Motte is a natural monument zone. This was the site of a medieval castle south of Kircheib. The former tower hill castle was still inhabited until 1500. It consisted of a tower and was surrounded by two protective walls and a moat. The moat was fed by the Freiheitsbach/Griesenbach. Today, only the castle hill and the ramparts with moat can be seen here.

The Wilhelminian factory owner's villa was built in 1904 by Adolf Gauhe, the brother of Julius Gauhe. Around 1930, the villa was sold to Adolf Boge and has been named after him ever since.

The castle was first mentioned in documents in 1249. Welterode is a simple three-story building. It was probably previously only accessible via a drawbridge and a gatehouse. A mill and an outbuilding were demolished during road construction work in the 19th century.
