헥센투름(Hexenturm)은 11세기에 부르크(Burg)에 세워졌으며, 처음에는 정사각형이었다가 15세기 말에 이르러서야 둥근 형태를 갖추게 된 것으로 추정됩니다. 총안(Schießscharten) 때문에 경비 및 방어탑으로 사용되었을 것으로 예상됩니다. 17세기 초 부르크에서는 여러 차례 마녀 재판이 열렸습니다. 이 시기에 이 탑은 소위 마녀들의 감옥으로 사용되었으며, 여기서 탑의 이름이 유래했습니다. 탑 안에는 6미터 깊이의 지하 감옥이 있습니다. 죄수들은 바닥의 둥근 구멍을 통해 그곳으로 내려졌습니다. 헥센투름은 1846년까지 여성 감옥으로서의 기능을 유지했습니다. 그해 부르크의 하인슈트라세(Hainstraße)에 새로운 법원과 감옥이 건설되었습니다. 이후 더 이상 용도가 없어 여러 차례 철거될 위기에 처했으나, 이러한 계획은 실패했습니다. 1985년에 이미 기념물 관리인들에 의해 복원되었으며, 이는 탑 꼭대기의 연도 표시로 기념되고 있습니다. 1998년과 1999년 사이에 포괄적인 보수 공사를 거쳐 현재는 가이드 투어를 통해 방문할 수 있습니다. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hexenturm_(Burg)

At a good 40 meters above sea level and directly on the banks of the Elbe River, a high medieval residential tower, the Klutturm, stands, and right next to it a neo-Gothic castle. These are the remains of the former castle complex and later the Rogätz manor.

Model of the Bastion: When visiting the Cleve Bastion, you can view the 25 square meter fortress model until November, daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The model was made from oak wood in great detail on a scale of 1:100 and shows the southern area of the former Magdeburg fortress with the cathedral district.
