The Lukasklause is a late Gothic former defense tower in Magdeburg, some of which dates from the Middle Ages. Today the building is used as the Otto von Guericke Museum.
In the area surrounding the tower there are still old walls of former parts of the Magdeburg city fortifications. Remains of the so-called New Plant in the form of a roundel have been preserved north and east of the tower. Remains of a fortress railway gate from 1851 are also noteworthy.
