We suspect that this forest hut was built by the children of the local forest kindergarten. ☺️ They visit this spot from time to time, and what started out as a small hut has grown into a veritable palace. Inside, a small stone fireplace hides from the curious observer—just for playing, of course. 😄 Feel free to take a look at this wonderful forest hut and be as amazed as we are. 🤗🌳💚

A very well-maintained hiking hut; there are five guest books, all of which are fully completed. The hut has a thirty-year history.

The Lobdeburgklause invites you to indulge in traditional Thuringian specialties and delicacies from Mediterranean country house cuisine.

Jena Forest House: The observatory is being renovated; the forest house offers excellent food and drink. Inside, you can see a very rare rascal (also known as a wolperdinger in the Alpine region)! Check opening hours and call ahead if necessary. The Bismarck Tower, about 1.5 km away, can also be entered at certain times. Don't forget your tour stamp 201!

well-known, good for short breaks

Jena: Forestry tower with forester's house. In the restaurant you can admire what is probably the last rattle goat in the Jena area. In earlier times, around 1965 to 1978, there was one in the old "Paper Mill" restaurant.

With children it is a very educational path in the Jena forest and easy to walk

Located in the Leutratal on a wonderful hiking trail. Very good if you are surprised by rain or storms.
