Today we took the cable car to the Hexentanzplatz (Witches' Dance Floor). After spending a wonderful day there, we walked back. A perfect day with my grandchildren, unfortunately far too rare.

A weekend getaway in my old stomping grounds. The hike was supposed to go all the way to the Devil's Bridge 🚶♀️. But beyond the Königeruhe inn, the trail was blocked by rockfall. So I had to turn back the same way – what a shame.

Today our hike took us from Buchfart along the Goethe Adventure Trail to the Tafelbuche (Table Beech). We then continued a short distance along the Three Towers Trail to Bad Berka. From there, we took the cycle path back along the Ilm River. The entire route could also be cycled. A beautiful route in glorious spring weather.

Today, in beautiful sunshine, I hiked from Oettern to Buchfart along the Ilm River. I had actually planned a circular route, but unfortunately couldn't find it. So I went back the same way, which wasn't so bad. All in all, a successful day. Another stretch of the Ilm River hike completed.

The redesign of Lobdeburg Castle is very well done, even though some finishing touches are still being made to the grounds. It blends in very harmoniously with the natural surroundings. I like it better than the redesign of Leuchtenburg Castle.
