Another highlight of Dunaföldvár is the Roman Catholic Church, one of the most beautiful buildings in the city. Built in the 18th century in the Baroque style, the church impresses with its richly decorated interior. One of the most important historical monuments of the city is the Dunaföldvár Castle. According to archaeological excavations, the stone material was brought by ship from the limestone quarry of Budafok. The three-storey tower was built in the 15th century to secure the strategically important Danube crossing. Later it became the central part of the castle built around it. The rectangular castle had round towers at the corners, protected by gun emplacements and a triple palisade wall.
