Hardly any visitors, the lake is so quiet and since sailing on it is prohibited, there are not many tourists here.

The stream that has been dammed to form the alluvial ponds flows into the Mortelgrund at the Mortelmühle. Overall, the area with its bodies of water, riverbanks, mountain meadows and wet meadows represents a very valuable habitat.

Overall, a nice round and not as strenuous as expected due to the few meters in altitude. Attention: on the last part (after the Green Graben) the given path runs on a slope through the undergrowth. Not recommendable! You can reach your destination more safely by taking a detour along a larger path and a small road.

The dam wall itself is closed with a gate, I didn't see opening times, but next to it is a small door which is open to visitors ;-)
