The Kraaijenbergse Plassen form an extensive lake area of over 400 ha. The lakes are located in the municipality of Land van Cuijk. The lakes have been created since 1968 by the extraction of industrial sand, gravel and clay. You can cycle and walk around the lakes and there are many water sports to practice. There are several catering establishments around the lakes.

National Park De Biesbosch is on the list of protected nature reserves. De Biesbosch is partly used for agriculture and there is a lot of (water) recreation. Specially constructed reservoirs provide for the storage of clean surface water. Since 1994, De Biesbosch has been a national park, where work is now in full swing to give more space to the rivers.

Beautiful vast heathland with natural paths. Good for cycling with normal or gravel bike tires. With a racing bike it is possible, provided you like gravel. There are sheep grazing that keep the heath free of new trees. Sometimes you also encounter them on the bike path!
