The municipality of Schönwalde has again not set up the ski lift at the highest point in Schleswig-Holstein this winter... so winter sports enthusiasts should be prepared for a lot of uphill walking. The restaurant is unfortunately closed.

From the pretty tower you have a magnificent view of the surrounding area, and on a clear day you can even see as far as Lübeck.

The Bismarck Tower on the Pariner Berg also serves as an observation tower. Once you reach the top, you can see the Holstein Switzerland, the Schwartau valley and even the Bay of Lübeck shimmers through. But the most beautiful view of Lübeck is blocked by trees. At the top, you can sit perfectly on the concrete base and therefore take a rest.

Next to the Elisabeth Tower is the 179 m high Bungsberg radio tower, which was built between 1975 and 1977. From the tower's free-to-access observation platform at a height of 40 m, you can see large parts of Schleswig-Holstein as well as parts of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and the Baltic Sea in good visibility conditions.

Attention: The path up to the Bungsberg is partly very rough gravel! Very difficult with a racing bike, with gravel you slip every now and then on the steepest part.

"highest point" is not quite right: Here there is only the signpost to the Hinrichsberg, which can be reached about 500-1000m further west via smaller paths!
