The Untermhäuser Bridge is a historic pedestrian bridge over the White Elster in Gera. It connects the historical center of the Untermhaus district on the western bank of the river with Küchengartenallee and Orangery and is therefore part of the historical axis from Untermhaus to the city center.

I first walked through the castle garden. However, to get to Gera Castle I had to cross this bridge.

This small church nestles wonderfully into the landscape. I recommend a visit inside. There is a beautiful wooden altar.

The Köstritzer Park and especially the seating at the animal enclosure are very well attended when the weather is good. There is also delicious ice cream nearby on the main street.
