The church was open, but the interior was blocked off by a door, which allowed one to look through and see the altar. Unfortunately, many churches are blocked off, so this one stood out in a positive way. The Uckermark region is very beautiful in general; I hadn't heard of it before.

In August you cycle past Albrechtshaler Siedlung through endless fields of flowering buckwheat and grayweed. And around Friedrichswalde the air is pregnant with the scent of enormous fields of flowering alfalfa. A feast for butterflies and other insects.
