The carp pond was created in the park of Charlottenburg Palace. The palace was accessible by boat via a ramp leading to the Spree River. On the steps leading down to the carp pond are eight putti and four decorative vases. They are made of white-painted aluminum, date from 1984, and stand on stone pedestals approximately 1 meter high.
