Beautiful section of the valley, really recommendable

From the Saar loop it is actually nice, before that it is rather uninspiring. And the loop is really nice, even if you've seen it so often in pictures ... If you don't want to cycle up the mountain, there is a hiking trail straight from the river.

Steinbachtal The one square kilometer Steinbachtal west of the Saarschleife has been one of the nature reserves of the Saarland since October 1991. It is characterized by ravine-like rock formations, playful streams and mossy forest floor.

A little away from the hustle and bustle on the Cloef or the treetop path / observation tower, the Steinbachtal offers a leisurely forest hiking trail that comfortably overcomes the height difference between Cloef and the banks of the Saar. Some rock walls and watercourses accompany the way.
