The sandstone formation Altschlossfelsen, which is designated as a natural and cultural monument and is also the largest rock reef in the Palatinate, is really fantastic. The name comes from a castle built on the rock towers many hundred years ago was built, but has long since fallen into ruin. Beautiful rocks run through the forest for more than a kilometer. It is smaller than the upper bear cave. But the shower is an absolute eye-catcher.

People up to 1.80 m tall should be able to walk through upright 🙂. There is a relaxation lounger directly above the Felsentor and a little further below there is an information board about red sandstone.
