These mini-basins are part of the new Fuglsang Allé residential development. These inlets form the "Havnefronten" (Harbor Front), an artificial shoreline spanning approximately 1,600 meters. They consist of boat slips and ramps designed to provide residents with direct, non-motorized access to the lake for activities like kayaking and fishing, supporting the area's focus on an active, nature-oriented community.

Fuglsang Sø is a large, man-made lake of 28 hectares completed in 2005 as a result of a motorway construction project. It is known for its high water quality, often awarded the Blue Flag, as it is mainly fed by clean groundwater with minimal inflow or outflow. The lake is a popular recreational destination, featuring two bathing beaches on the east side and a 3-kilometer path circling the perimeter, making it ideal for swimming, walking, fishing, and various water sports like kayaking and triathlons.

Beautiful Rind Church was built in the 12th century and consisted only of the Romanesque ship and the choir. The tower and porch are from the Gothic period. Rind Church was rebuilt in 1898.

A small wooden bridge connects the two banks of the Fjederhold Å, which winds idyllically and naturally through the landscape.

The lake is actually on private land, but public access is allowed. You can park, relax and swim on the southeast side of Skærbæk Sø, where you can find a bathing jetty. The northwest side of the lake is reserved for the school.

At the top of Knudmosebakken, you'll find a monument marking the hill's height, which measures no less than 79.3 meters – including the monument – making it one of the highest points in Herning. Knudmosen is a nature reserve of approximately 230 hectares.
