A very nice trail. It's 17 km long and really makes the most of the few meters of elevation gain.

Bølling Sø is a remarkable place with a fascinating history. Once a vast lake, it was drained in the 19th century to create farmland and peat bogs. In one of these bogs, the world-famous Tollund Man was discovered. In a major and successful conservation effort, the lake was recreated in 2005. The area today is a beautiful example of a restored landscape, with a large, shallow lake at its centre.

As you walk through Stenholt Forest, a peaceful woodland that provides a wonderful contrast to the open heathland nearby, you experience a mix of both coniferous and deciduous trees. It offers a serene hiking experience. As you walk, you can enjoy the shade and the sounds of the forest, making it a great place to find a moment of peace.

This observation tower offers you a fantastic view of Grathe hede, a place of great historical significance. From the top of the tower, you can get a panoramic view of the heathland that was once the site of the famous Battle of Grathe Heath in 1157, where King Svend Grathe was killed. It's a powerful experience to stand at this vantage point and take in the view of the landscape where such a key event in Danish history occurred.

Weaving its way through the plantation, the peaceful Åresvad Å is a small stream that carves a natural path through the man-made forest. The sound of the flowing water adds a serene element to the landscape, making it a perfect spot for a quiet and reflective pause. The stream is a central feature of the area's trail network and is a great place to appreciate the blend of planted forest and natural waterways.

Walking along the quiet trails of Stendal and Havredal Plantation, you'll find a large man-made forest that offers a serene and sheltered hiking experience. This landscape offers a beautiful contrast between dense coniferous plantations and open heathland, creating a peaceful environment ideal for walking. The area is part of the Hærvejen route and is a great place to find solitude in nature.

North-west of the Funder village, this church has no tower but it's a beautiful building nevertheless. Both the south portal and the north portal are built in Romanesque architecture and the pulpit is in the late Renaissance style.
