Hello everyone, the comments about riding on the cycle path are now outdated! I did the Zendscheid - Trier/Ehrang route myself. It is open the whole way. Behind Erdorf there is an underpass that is not without danger, before that it goes downhill for around 50 m with a 25% gradient; you should really get off, after the underpass there is a slippery stream crossing, you have to get off here!

For cyclists, the tunnel path is quite narrow, but only of short duration.

Now let me say: A tourist center. By no means THE tourist center. The lake is quite nice. There used to be a Dorint Hotel here. But over time it was allowed to deteriorate and too little was invested. It has recently been orphaned and closed.

paved paths. Plenty of seating. Gastro with self-service at the boathouse. Good for a walk. Also starting point for longer hikes.

The Dechen Tunnel is an illuminated railway tunnel with a cycle and pedestrian path from St. Thomas to Kyllburg, or vice versa :)
