Beautiful 19 m high observation tower with a great view of the surrounding area, a panoramic window makes orientation easier. In the Middle Ages there was a watchtower here, the construction of the observation tower in its present form took place in 1925. At the tower there is a restaurant with a beautiful beer garden, the staff is "Franconian grumpy".

The dome makes the Döbraberg unmistakable and therefore visible from afar. You can see it, for example, from the A9 between Hof and Münchberg (to the right or west of the stated direction of travel). It can also be seen from many spots in the Fichtelgebirge.

At the end of my tour I'm still on the Peterlestein. A rocky path, actually very beautiful. Just not so much at the end of the tour just before dark...

my home territory. Around the Döbraberg you can cross-country ski in winter on a groomed trail. Otherwise there are many forest and trail paths for biking. The view from the mountain rescue hut is unique. Here you can also stay overnight on 4 pitches with a tent. You can register via the Franconian Forest Tourism Portal

It would be interesting to see a picture of a compass on the Peterlesstein and somehow convincing evidence that the compass spins. This is probably only the case in a few places. The Peterlesstein is rather unsuitable for people who use the mountain bike trails, as it is practically impassable. It is best to park the bike at the upper end, i.e. on the northern edge of the hill in the forest, and climb the last few meters on foot. This is not recommended from the south, as it is much longer.

The Weißenstein (668 m) is the home mountain of the Stammbachers. The observation tower (19 m high) offers a wide panoramic view of the nearby Fichtelgebirge, the Franconian Forest and the Upper Main Valley. Eclogite, a rare green rock with red inclusions, was also found here. The eclogite occurrence at Weißenstein is the largest single occurrence in Central Europe. The area is under nature protection.

Nice destination located above the mirror ponds. Short, narrow ascent is rewarded with a wonderful view and an idyllic place to rest

At the entrance there is a small donation box for the maintenance of the tower.
