From the 794 meter high Döbraberg you have a great view of the region. No wonder, because it is the highest peak in the Franconian Forest. If you need a bit of balancing movement for cycling, you can still climb the steps of the Prince Luitpold Tower. It's worth it, because from up here you can see the Fichtel Mountains, the Thuringian Forest, the Ore Mountains and the Coburg region.

my home territory. Around the Döbraberg you can cross-country ski in winter on a groomed trail. Otherwise there are many forest and trail paths for biking. The view from the mountain rescue hut is unique. Here you can also stay overnight on 4 pitches with a tent. You can register via the Franconian Forest Tourism Portal

The Döbraberg gives its best in every season. In winter with perfectly groomed trails (classic and skating, the starting point is the hiking car park at Sportheim in Döbra), for the rest of the year for mountain bikers and hikers, with a great view from the Prinz Luitpold observation tower. Also impressive is the radar dome (originally two), which was operated by the Americans until the late 1970s and has since been used by a department of the German Armed Forces. Very close by, at Schwarzenbach am Wald, is the Döbraberg mountain bike center with excellently laid out trails down into the Wilden Rodach valley.

Always worth a trip!
