The Prince Luitpold tower, a lookout tower of the Frankenwaldverein e. V., is also called "Eiffel Tower of the Franconian Forest." If you want to climb it, you should not be afraid of heights! Prince Luitpold Tower
On the top of the mountain stands the 18 m high lookout tower, the Prinz-Luitpold-Turm, built by the Franconian Forest Association in 1902. With its own height, the 800 m contour line is exceeded. Next door is a small shelter for hikers.

The panoramic view from the Döbraberg, especially from the tower, extends in the east from the Erzgebirge to the heights of the Fichtelgebirge. In the south you can see the Radspitze. On a clear day you can see as far as the Gleichberge. In the west and north you can see the heights of the Thuringian Forest, for example the whetstone at the transition to the Franconian Forest. From there you have a magnificent view; to the nearby Rodachrangen, to Schwarzenbach, to the Schnaid, in favorable weather conditions even to Veste Coburg, to the Gleichberge and the so-called "Unterland".
By the way: The mountain rescue hut is always manned on Sundays and public holidays.
To add: The Döbraberg tower, the mountain rescue hut on the old ski run, the cross-country and skating trails and the whole area are a dream to visit at any time of the year, because every season has its charm - even if there is fog. Around the Döbraberg and over the plateau of the Döbraberg with its tower there are also certified DSV - Nordic Walking routes of different lengths and levels of difficulty.
