The historic port of Tönning impresses with its centuries-old history and its picturesque appearance. The historic port was founded in 1613. The most impressive building near the port of Tönning is probably the packing house. Built in 1783, it served for many years as a storage location for wood, hard coal and much more. In contrast to the southern "Kronenloch", the "Wöhrdener Loch" is cut off from the salt water flow.
