The Lochbach, formerly also called Brunnenlech, is a 14.5 km long left canal of the Lech in front of and in Augsburg. It is part of Augsburg's historic water management. The Lochbach was already a canalized tributary of the Lech in the Middle Ages, supplying Augsburg's extensive canal network with water for use.
