A beautiful bridge nestled among charming half-timbered houses typical of the Altes Land region, and the Este River. A fantastic cycling and hiking trail runs alongside it. Highly recommended.

A beautiful circular hike along the Este dike is highly recommended. Spring or autumn are the best times to go. In the height of summer, there's no shade. You'll be treated to various views of the surrounding nature, the Este River, and the thatched-roof houses. There are plenty of benches for taking a short break. The lock house is also very interesting and worth a visit 👍🏼. Cycling on the dike is not recommended.

FLETHENKIEKER: The Flethenkieker, a sculpture created by the artist Carsten Eggers. Since 1548, it had the task of monitoring the water depths in the Elbe River and the canals of Hamburg. This is how the nickname "Flethenkieker" came about. A visit is highly recommended. 👍👍👍

Buxtehude is a beautiful town with many sights and attractions. Many listed buildings are located, mostly in the harbor area and along the Fleth canal.
