It is said that the sheriff last wielded his sword nearby. A small hill with a memorial stone and two information panels commemorates this. Historical background: Her real name was Anna Sophie Meyer, née Spreckels (1808–1835). She came from a humble background in Blumenthal (now part of the Oldendorf-Himmelpforten collective municipality). In 1835, she and her lover Cord Meyer were convicted of the murder of her husband (who was also her lover's father). On July 24, 1835, the public execution took place in Himmelpforten – one of the last major execution sites in the region.

A beautiful trail through the middle of the forest. A red and white circle of trees serves as a marker to keep you on the trail.

These are two old beech trees in the Klosterfeld Forest, standing side by side, entwined for around 100 years. They appear as if they were embracing each other – hence the name "Giants in Love." A few years ago, they even received an iron heart and a park bench next to them, so that walkers and lovers can linger there. The idea came from a resident of Himmelpforten and was implemented in collaboration with the local creative workshop.

Beautiful path through a small forest just before Himmelpforten. You can start from a parking lot directly on the B73. One part belongs to a multi-generational park, where information and action boards are set up.
