패터스버그‬에서 가장 멋진 ‪20‬개의 동굴

The steep hiking trail winds its way up to Maus Castle via several switchbacks. And from there, it climbs a good bit further. The effort is rewarded by absolutely breathtaking viewpoints.

We were there at the end of April, and the many different shades of green were somewhat reminiscent of Galicia. Please note that there are hardly any trash cans along the way, so please take your trash with you. There is a wine shop below the castle.

The way up is easy to walk

On the wide castle driveway you can quickly get up to the Maus

The path winds up the mountain, first in wide and then in narrow serpentines. It is pleasant to walk as it is not that steep.

Stahleck Castle was built around 1000 as a hilltop castle and customs castle on a field spur by the Archbishopric of Cologne. In 1120/21 it was owned as a Cologne electoral fief by Gozwin von Stahlecke, Count of Höchstadt and Bildhausen. Today Stahleck Castle is a beautiful, modern youth hostel.

Little clever shit about the superlatives from what I've read: Burghausen Castle is the longest castle in Germany and even the world. After Ehrenbreitstein, Rheinfels is the largest castle/fortress on the Middle Rhine

Rheinfels Castle is the largest surviving castle ruin on the Rhine. Although time has left its mark on the walls, you can still imagine what the magnificent fortress must have looked like. Part of the castle is now a museum where you can learn about the interesting history of the place.
