the first lighthouse in Büsum

Fishing port where the fishing boats are moored at the quay. Idyllic, beautiful to look at. In addition to tourist shipping with trips to the islands and tours of the North Sea, Büsum port is also known for its commercial fishing.

The first wooden lighthouse was built in Büsum in 1878 and stood until 1913 on the dike where the entrance to the south beach is today. The fishing beacon with the number 730 was removed from the beacon list on October 10, 1913. The replica was built in 2007 at the end of the Büsum museum harbor. beautiful view of the nature reserve "Wöhrdener Loch" The 495 hectare “Wöhrdener Loch” in the north of the Meldorfer Speicherkoog is one of the two nature reserves that were created to compensate for the loss of around 1560 hectares of sandy tidal flats and around 900 hectares of foreland and salt marsh areas as a result of the diking. In contrast to the southern "Kronenloch", the "Wöhrdener Loch" is cut off from the salt water flow.
