A small detour up to the castle that is absolutely worth it! Here, just before the castle gate, you have a great view over the old town of Eppstein and also a wonderful rest area!

The entrance fee of 2 euros is definitely worth it, as you can enjoy a great view from here. Unfortunately the tower is currently closed.

One of the more recent attractions in Wiesbaden is the classicist Jagdschloss Platte, built on a plateau north of Wiesbaden. It was commissioned by Duke Wilhelm I of Nassau in 1823. After it fell victim to World War II, it was partially rebuilt in the late 1980s and today serves as an event venue.
