After decades of decay, a breath of fresh air is once again blowing through the old walls: The castle has been gradually renovated over the past few years and opened to the public. Cultural events, guided tours, and a planned reopening as a tourist destination are revitalizing the monument. 🚴‍♂️ Cyclists and hikers will find a short detour up there worthwhile – the view of the Aar Valley and the fortified silhouette are magnificent. A long, paved parking lot is ideal for anyone who doesn't want to take the arduous hike from the lower village up to the castle.

The castle is quaint and is surrounded by beautiful surroundings. - For people coming from further afield, a trip to Limburg with its beautiful old town is recommended.

The castle is really quaint and worth a visit because of the beautiful nature that surrounds it; there is no admission charge.
