Years ago I went on a hiking holiday with my daughter in Grossartal and then we are here on this mountain. A few music groups were on the road with us as part of a music festival. A heavy storm was approaching us on the mountain from afar and we all sought shelter in the hut. With the music in the hut we still had a great atmosphere until the storm was over. We will never forget that when we raged through the huts in a polonaise.

Starting or end point of the four hut hike below the Hochkönig massif. Optimal starting point for the day hood where sure-footedness and a head for heights are required. Some places are secured with ladders and wire ropes. The Taghaubenscharte with the Grandlspitz via ferrata would also be an option.
