    The Erichhütte can be a nice starting point, destination or stopover. The hiking bus stops below, on the saddle. GREAT snack there.

      The Erichhütte is located a little above the Dientner saddle and guarantees you a stay that you will not soon forget. Just so much: hearty dishes, an unobstructed view of the proud Hochkönig and - if you like - a cozy bed for the night. Open from mid-May to the end of October.

                Starting or end point of the four hut hike below the Hochkönig massif. Optimal starting point for the day hood where sure-footedness and a head for heights are required. Some places are secured with ladders and wire ropes. The Taghaubenscharte with the Grandlspitz via ferrata would also be an option.

                        Don’t stay over night unless you are very poor or stingy. No shower, not even handsoap, no bed linen, the worst dinner ever. And it’s not even cheap. The owner is a cheater, watch out when paying!
