The Liechtenstein Gorge is one of the longest and deepest gorges in the Alps. Of the total length of approx. 4 kilometers, 1 kilometer is accessible to visitors. The rocks are up to 300 meters deep and in some places the gorge is only a few meters wide. An adventurous path leads through the gorge over wooden walkways. There is a waterfall at the end of the gorge. According to a legend, the gorge was created when the devil was supposed to bring water to Grossarl as quickly as possible. But he did not succeed in doing so at first. Full of anger and anger, he flew over the ravine and hurled water into it.

The Liechtenstein Gorge is definitely one of the longest, deepest and most impressive gorges in the Alps. The mighty rush of the waterfall, the moss-covered stones in lush green, a legendary atmosphere and sun rays that create a rainbow in the fine water dust. The unique natural spectacle in the Salzburger Land is known for an unforgettable excursion of a special kind - an experience for the whole family.
The thundering waterfalls and the raging water masses have cut deeper and deeper into the mountain over thousands of years, creating a gorge. In places the rocks are so narrow and high that the sky can only be seen as a small strip.
As early as 1875, this alpine natural spectacle fascinated people so much that the gorge was made accessible to the general public with bridges and footbridges as a summer excursion destination thanks to a donation from Prince Liechtenstein. In the meantime, over 10 million people from all over the world have visited the legendary Liechtenstein Gorge. Hardly any visitor is not fascinated by the tremendous impression and the almost ghostly play of light and shadow in the depths and narrowness of the gorge.
