Schleswig ([ˈʃleːsvɪç], Low German: Sleswig, Danish: Slesvig, Anglo-Danish: Sljasvig[2]) is a medium-sized town in Schleswig-Holstein at the end of the long Schlei fjord in the Baltic Sea. An inlet is a narrow bay that extends significantly further into the land than it is wide. In English-speaking areas, such inlets often have the word inlet in their name. In addition, the word inlet is also used – analogous to river inlet – for an elongated strait that separates an island from the mainland or another island.
