The hut is located at an altitude of around 1,070 meters and is open all year round from Friday to Sunday. You can stop here during a hike and treat yourself to good home-style food and homemade cakes. There are also overnight accommodations at the hut. In the Staffelalm, built around 1868 at an altitude of 1329 m, there are two paintings by Franz Marc on the side wall inside, a bull's head and a stag with a doe. Marc often stayed on the mountain pasture in the summer months between 1900 and 1904.
