The Isar River near Bad Tölz is one of the most beautiful stretches of the river and a highlight of the region. Here, nature, recreational opportunities, and picturesque landscapes merge into an unforgettable experience. The Isar River winds its way through vast, pristine floodplains in this area. The area around the Isarwinkel is particularly inviting for cycling tours. The Isar River is particularly clear here and a paradise for nature lovers. The Isar Cycle Path runs along the river and is ideal for tours – both towards Munich and into the mountains. The Bad Tölz riverside promenade offers a wonderful opportunity to cycle directly along the water and enjoy the view of the Isar. Bad Tölz is truly a beautiful place, captivating with its unique combination of nature, culture, and Bavarian charm. The Isar River dominates the townscape and invites you to cycle or simply take a relaxing break on its banks.

It's also great to walk in winter. Our recommendation: poles and/or spikes and walk the circuit anti-clockwise. Then it's easier to go uphill at the "critical" points!
