Apparently in 2025 it has reopened. Open Thursday to Tuesday 10:00 til 16:30, with warm food until 16:00. Closed on Wednesdays. (In November 2024 it was being completely rebuilt so was closed.)

We had a fantastic meal here after a strenuous climb and challenging descent. The food is a bit more expensive (Kaiserschmarn at just under 15 euros), but the portions are adequate and super tasty.

Not for nothing one of the most popular destinations in the Fichtelgebirge, whether on foot, by mountain bike or by chairlift, everyone gets their money's worth up here. Access to the Asenturm is free and definitely worth it. From here you have a wonderful view far into the Fichtelgebirge. A visit to the Asenturm restaurant is definitely a good idea, nice terrace and nice service, food and drinks at fair prices. Beautiful photo motifs are the landmark, the summit cross and the Goethefelsen.

이곳은 약 887미터 높이에서 마인강의 두 수원 중 하나인 바이서 마인(Weiße Main)이 발원하는 곳입니다. 이 샘은 지질학적 명소로 지정되었습니다. 1717년에 비쇼프스그륀(Bischofsgrün)의 사냥터지기 요한 카스파르 문더(Johann Caspar Munder)가 바이로이트(Bayreuth)의 변경백 게오르크 프리드리히 카를(Georg Friedrich Carl)의 의뢰로 이 샘을 축조했습니다. 당시에는 퓌르스텐브루넨(Fürstenbrunnen)이라는 이름이 붙여졌습니다. 호엔촐레른 가문의 문장과 변경백의 이니셜은 오늘날에도 샘돌에서 볼 수 있습니다.
