The Borgholzhausener Luisenturmlauf leads on a demanding course through the Teutoburg Forest.

The castle complex has been partly preserved, partly rebuilt, or replaced by other buildings. Teaching events are held here, there's a small open-air theater, a playground, a café open on weekends, and a terrace with a magnificent view.

The climb up the tower is definitely worth it for the view. As an alternative to the gastronomy, there is also a shelter for the break, but on the benches in front of the restaurant you can sit in the sun even when it is closed. Anyone who walks the Hermannsweg is roughly half-time here :-)

From the parking lot it's about 700 m high, although steep, but it's worth it ... you can also sit in the café above ...

Harkotten Castle is a rare double castle (Castle von Ketteler and Castle von Korff) and in private use. However, you can stop by the garden café there for coffee and cake and take a look at the facility from the outside.

Bad Rothenfelde is a very beautiful health resort in the Osnabrück region. It is a state-approved spa with a lot of good brine air. The special attraction and landmark of the spa are the mighty graduation towers, which are the largest in Western Europe at 416 m and 114 m in length. With a trickle surface made of an 80 cm thick black thorn hedge, these open-air inhalers noticeably influence the climate, which is conducive to health, by enriching the air with the smallest salt and other mineral particles. The spring brine of the spa is channeled over blackthorn walls in the two wooden frame structures: the fine ramifications of the blackthorn ensure optimal evaporation and the longed-for cooling off for visitors.
